Archie Firby Obituary
Born in North Providence, he was the son of the late Archie and Ethel (Robinson) Firby. He had lived in Glocester since 1976.
Archie was an artist for Universal Engravers and for Cranston Print Works in Cranston for 44 years, retiring last year. He was a member and former secretary for Victory Sportsman's Club. He was a Marine Corps Veteran.
He leaves a son, Alan D. Firby of Manchester, CT; a daughter, Denise E. Firby of Greenville; four grandchildren, Kenneth, Melissa, and Sarah Firby and Brandon Dionne; a great-granddaughter, Skarlet Firby; and a sister, Frances E. LaSalle of Manchester, NH. He was father of the late Kenneth R. Firby.
His funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the ROBBINS FUNERAL HOME, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Calling hours Friday 6-8 p.m. Burial with military honors will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association, both located at 222 Richmond St., Providence, RI 02903.

To the Firby family,
I miss and adore Archie, "Pappy", my first father-in-law. He was a very compassionate person and lovely human being. He is much loved by all, especially his family and friends. His grandchildren, my son and daughter will miss him terribly, as will I forever cherish the time I had as his daughter in law.
