Corrine Nolan Obituary
90, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2018 with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Dr. Edward P. Nolan. Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Ernesto and Angelina (Lepore) Zinno.
Corrine earned her Bachelor's Degree at St. Joseph's College and her Master's in Social Work at Boston University, prior to a long career in social work. With her husband, the late Dr. Edward Nolan, she cofounded one of Rhode Island's first community mental health clinics, in Woonsocket. Corrine served on the boards of several non-profit organizations and as a volunteer with the League of Women Voters.
She survived by her loving family Edward P. Nolan Jr. and Karen Nolan and her husband Jonathan Weider, her adoring grandchildren Megan Kelley, Eden Kelley, and Aidan Weider. She was the sister of Brenda Noviello.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday April 17, 2018 at 8:45 AM from the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St. Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Pius V Church, Eden St. Providence. Calling hours will be held Monday 5 to 8. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

Dear Edward, Karen, Brenda and Family -
Alan and I send our deepest condolences. I have just heard of Corrine's passing from her dear friend, Bernice.
I will always cherish the special memories of your parents, from our work associations, starting in 1968 at the NRIMHC on Hamlet Avenue in Woonsocket. They had helped us celebrate so many milestones of our children and emotionally support us through the difficult times.

I had wanted to attend the Wake for Corrine,but was not able to do so due to the weather, my age and my health at this time. I have known Corrine since 1968 when I first became a member of the Board of Directors of the Northern Rhode Island Mental Health Clinic. She was one of the kindest,caring, understanding woman I have ever known. She and Dr. Nolan passed on a beautiful legacy to the people of Northern Rhode Island. May she rest in peace.

I am Corrine's Godchild. Gini Licari Butler, and daughter of Connie DiBurro Licari of Haverhill.The last time I saw my Godmother was at my wedding. I remember it as though it were yesterday. Corrine and Ed were talking to me, they were so happy and so much in love. I was always in awe of them. I even changed my name nick name to Gini as it was a suggestion of Corrine's. As a child I couldn't wait to receive gifts from her, she was like my personal Fairy Godmother! Sadly, I saw her so few times during my life and thought she would be here forever. It is with much sorrow that she has passed. I do know she is dancing in Heaven with Ed and smiling again. My deepest condolences to her family. Corrine's life had so much meaning, she was a wonderful woman and I will have beautiful memories of her forever.
