My sympathy to the Stevens family on the loss of Eva. I remember as a young girl going to visit her and frank with my parents, Andrew and Romilda Pitochelli. When I saw the obit in the paper it brought back many memories. Her and Frank were my godparents when i was born and I will always remember the great times we had at their home. Again, my deepest sympathy.

We will forever remember your loving smile and the happy times will remain in our hearts forever. I visited Eva two days before her 98 birthday and she said Her CHRIS as she called him took good care of her since Liz was in heavern before her. Know she is with her and smiling again. The Procaccini family and the Stevens family are a little smaller today with the passing of Aunt Eva.
She was the last of the first generation of Procaccini’s in the new world and was always full of life and up to date on current events until the last few of her total 98 years. We always enjoyed visiting with her and talking about the early days of the family. She had such great insights and could recall many details.
When asked how she liked living for such a long time, she always noted that she had lived too long and that it was not good to out live most of her children and friends. She was not bitter about this but accepted it as part of life and carried on from there.
Things were not easy for the first generation and they all came a long way from having to share their cold water flat on Spruce Street and Balbo Ave. with various boarders until they settled on Bond St. while they all worked one or two jobs to pay the bills. They all did well, had strong work ethics, and raised families of which they could all be proud.
Well, the first generation is now gone and they are now all together again.
It is now up to us to carry on the family traditions and values.
We can only hope to do as well.
Thank you Aunt Eva for all you have done and farewell.
