Kerrie Macaruso Obituary

MACARUSO, KERRIE LYNN (GAYNOR)
41, of North Providence, died Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Rhode Island Hospital from injuries sustained in a boating accident earlier in the day.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Ronald E. Gaynor, and leaves her mother and stepfather, Eleanor (Spetelunas) Rossi and Leo "Poppi" Rossi; daughter, Emily M. Macaruso; two brothers, Paul J. Spetelunas and Ronald E. Gaynor; former spouse, David Macaruso; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kerrie truly enjoyed flowers, especially sunflowers, she was always bright, sunny, and positive, and spread seeds of happiness wherever she went, much like her beloved sunflower. Kerrie worked in the health care industry as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years. Loved by all who knew her, she will be deeply missed.
The funeral will be held Saturday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Patrick Church, 244 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will be private. Visiting hours Friday, 4:00-9:00 pm.

Dearest Jodi, Rachel, Ron, Jr Ron and the entire Gaynor/Macaruso family: I am so deeply sorry for the tremendous and tragic sudden loss of your loved one Kerrie. I remember her as a beautiful, bright shining light. I cannot imagine the pain of this unexplainable loss. I am praying for each and every family member that they may be comforted in their deep grief. May all the beautiful and loving memories of your loved one shine upon you as you continue to move through the coming days ahead. May the light of God surround you, the Love of God enfold you, the Power of God protect you and the Presence of God watch over you all and may this beautiful young woman rest in peace as she is now your Guardian Angel.
