I would like Michael's family to know that I am so very sorry about his death. I knew him as a valued colleague, a dedicated educator, and an unfailingly kind and decent person who was so helpful to me and others. His untimely death is such a loss to so many people whose lives he touched over his many years of teaching. He made a special contribution to the world that always will be remembered by me and many others.

I am so sorry to hear of the tragic and timely loss of Michael. My deepest sympathy to his mom, wife, Joy, and family. I had the pleasure of meeting Michael's mom at his and Joy's lovely wedding. Michael was a very special person and, a true and thoughtful friend. I am so sorry.

When my mother, Alice Lamere Serafin Procaccini, died in July, 1998, I remember that Michael came to the funeral with his mother and how good it was to see them. I thought how handsome he was and how much he looked like my father, Paul Serafin. His loss is so tragic. My heart goes out to Frances and Joy.
