CAIZZI, PATRICIA M. (MALAFRONTE)
76, of Bristol, RI, passed away peacefully after a long illness at Miriam Hospital on Saturday, August 4, 2018. She was the wife of Frank C. Caizzi, her husband of 50 years. Born in Fall River, MA and raised in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Amato and Carmella (DiPierro) Malafronte. Patricia is survived by her children David Caizzi (Susan), Debra Messenger (James), and Carolyn Caizzi (Magdalyn), and her grandchildren Michael and Alex Caizzi, and Lucy and Harry Messenger. She was the sister of Ralph Malafronte and the late Marie M. Rocchio, and the sister-in-law of Dr. Kathleen Caizzi (John). She was a graduate of Bristol High School, Rhode Island College and Brown University. Patricia was a teacher of English in many of the locations she and her husband lived and taught many students, including her children and grandchildren. In her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family, reading, going to restaurants, traveling domestically and internationally with her husband, and playing duplicate bridge at the Viking Bridge Club in Portsmouth.
Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Friday, August 10, 2018 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
