CECCHINI, PATRICIA (Nye) 54, passed away January 17, 2016, in Winter Park, Fl. She was the daughter of the late CDR Robert D. Nye, USN and Ellen Glover Nye. Patti was a graduate of East Greenwich High School and the University of New Haven. She served most of her career as a computer test engineer with Pfizer Corporation and General Dynamics Corporation. Patti is survived by her daughters; Catrina Cecchini, and Cayla Cecchini both of Montville CT. She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Nye Rennick of North Kingstown, her brother, David H. Nye of Spokane WA, and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life with friends and family will be held on Thursday January 28, 2016 from 4 to 6 pm, at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., E. Greenwich. In lieu of flowers donations in Patti's name may be made to the Pet Refuge, North Kingstown, RI. See hillfuneralhome.com.

Carl and family,

I have known Patty for over 25 years. Carl used to play touch football in Norwich with my brother Bob! She was such a kind and upbeat friend. I then had the privilege of meeting up with her again at EB. Lost touch with her after she left EB, but always asked Carl how she was!.
My heart hurts for her pain and you and your children's pain. Just know she is at peace now and in a much better place! She is dancing in the sky! GOD BLESS!!

I was so sad to hear that Patty passed away. I worked with Patty at Pfizer. We were in the same group together and we had so much fun! She was a hard worker, always had a smile, always willing to help someone, had a great sense of humor - we had some great times and laughs together! And she always talked about her daughters Catrina and Cayla - she loved you both so much! You are in my thoughts and prayers.
