BREWSTER, N.Y. — Bernadine (Cookie) DeNoia, 79, of Brewster, N.Y., and formerly of Pittston, passed away peacefully into eternal life on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mary and Joseph Grobinski, Pittston.
Bernadine is survived by her husband of 39 years, Anthony DeNoia; her children and their spouses, Toby and Anna Anzalone, of Patterson, N.Y., Lori and Tink Gabrielli, of Lake Forest, Calif., Jodi and Delbert Maloney, of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.; granddaughter, Jessica Maloney, of New York, N.Y.; sisters, Percilla Orsheski, of Tunkhannock, and Romaine Salerno, of Oswego, N.Y.; along with nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.
She was a hair dresser for most of her life and enjoyed the last 35 years on a beautiful thoroughbred farm in Carmel, N.Y. Bernadine will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Monica's Parish, 363 W. Eighth St., West Wyoming, with the Rev. Peter Tomczak officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
