Michael Stallone Obituary
EXETER — Michael Lino Stallone, 30, of Exeter, passed away at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital with his loving family by his side on Jan. 1, 2018.
Michael was born in Kingston on June 16, 1987. He graduated from Wyoming Area High School in 2005, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in biophysics from the University of Scranton in 2009. He was most recently employed by Kuharchik Construction.
Michael was a quiet, gentle soul who was happiest when he was outdoors. He especially loved snowboarding, mountain biking and playing guitar with his brother, Marco.
He is survived by his mother, Michelle Marchetti, of Exeter, father, Michael Stallone, of Arizona, and brother, Marco, of Exeter.
He was especially close to his aunt and uncle, Don and Donna Oakes (Marchetti), and his cousin, Kiran, of New York, and many loving cousins.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Lino and Marian Marchetti, and paternal grandparents, Anthony and Sally Stallone.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter, from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be private for family only.
Michael was a wonderful son and brother. He is ever so deeply missed.

I´m so sorry for your loss. I came across Michael´s page and, though I did not know him, I can see the love and compassion he had in his eyes. I´m around the same age as he was when he crossed to the other side (32) and felt like we could have been good friends. I hope you know that people still honor his memory. Even strangers. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May our Lord surround you with his angels and place his hand upon you for strength. I have not seen you since St Cecelia's elementary and at times during the boys high school years. It is not only Michael's sweet smile but your warm heart were not forgotten.
