WYOMING — Nancy Howe, 81, a resident of Wyoming, passed away early Monday morning, Nov. 17, 2014, at Celtic Healthcare Hospice, Inpatient Unit, at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre. Her beloved husband was the late Frederick T. "Fred" Howe, who passed away on April 12, 2011. Together, Fred and Nancy shared nearly 50 years of marriage.
Born on June 24, 1933, in Wyoming, Nancy was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Giacometti.
Nancy was a graduate of the former Wyoming High School.
Prior to her retirement, Nancy was employed for 30 years as an office manager for Pediatric Associates of Kingston. After retiring, she enjoyed working part-time for Jon L. Stopay Candies, Plains Township.
Nancy was a longtime member of St. Barbara's Parish, St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter.
In addition to her parents, Joseph and Anna Giacometti, and her husband, Fred, Nancy was preceded in death by her sister, Nora Leone.
Nancy is survived by her sons, Francis Howe and his wife, Melinda, Wyoming, Fred Howe and Scott Saylor, Dallas; her daughters, JoAnn Riccardo, Kingston, Donna Hospodar and her husband, Robert, Edwardsville; her six grandsons, Mark and David Riccardo, Michael and Ethan Howe, Eric and Jarod Hospodar; her six great-grandchildren; her son-in-law, Vince Riccardo, Swoyersville; her brother, Harry Giacometti and his wife, Josephine, Plains Township; her sister, Elizabeth Lello and her husband, Nicholas, Dupont; her many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Nancy's funeral Mass which will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Barbara's Parish, St. Anthony of Padua Church, 28 Memorial Ave., Exeter, with the Rev. Michael Finn, her pastor, officiating. Family and friends are invited to call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the church. Interment will be privately held in Italian Independent Cemetery, West Wyoming.
Funeral arrangements for the Howe family have been entrusted to the care of the Wroblewski Funeral Home Inc., 1442 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort.

Fred and Family, I am so sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. My Mom just told me. She was such a wonderful lady. We would always have nice conversations when we would see each other out and about, usually they were about you Fred. Prayers and thoughts are with you, Nancy Vaxmonsky and family

To the Howe family-- I send heartfelt sympathy. I grew up on Susquehanna Ave(many years ago) with your beloved Nancy as my neighbor. I have wonderful memories of her humor, her laughter and her sense of enjoying life to the fullest. I saw her 3 years ago and we had our usual round of laughs. Her family is a beautiful legacy.
