Darrell Shafferman Obituary
He was born on May 25, 1931, in Grafton, West Virginia, a son of the late John and Dacie (Weaver) Shafferman.
Mr. Shafferman served in the United States Army.
On March 1, 1959, he married the former Nancy Lee Anne Fullmer. She preceded him in death on April 16, 2012.
Darrell worked as a chemist in research and development at US Steel in Pittsburgh. Following his retirement, he and his wife moved to Knox Dale.
He is survived by four children, Melany Brosius and husband Stanley of Brookville, Darrell Shafferman and wife Gina of South Carolina, Darren Shafferman and wife Sheri of Pittsburgh and Derrick Shafferman of Knox Dale; four grandchildren, Cathy Nuckels, Stanley Brosius, Jr. and wife Amanda and Shane and Sara Shafferman; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; his parents; a daughter, Sharyl Casella; and three brothers, John, Raymond and Harold Shafferman.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at noon at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Harold Hills.
Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Knox Dale.
