Vilma Sutlovich Obituary
Vilma Mary Sutlovich, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother was taken into the Lord's arms on Friday, October 27th. Vilma was born on February 1, 1921 in Brgulje o'Molat, Croatia. She came to the United States when she was 11 years old and grew up in San Pedro. Years later she met husband Daniel and they married and raised their 3 sons. Vilma is preceded in death by her husband Daniel, son Anthony, son Barry, brother and sister in law Vinko & Olga, and grandson Andrew John. She is survived by her son Dennis (Nancy) Sutlovich, daughter-in-law Natalie Sutlovich, grandchildren Andrea (Pete) Ancich, Kim (Steve) Mosich, Stefanie Herrera, Nick Sutlovich, Matthew (Tami) Sutlovich, and Michelle (Shawn) Freeman, as well as 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was a shoe-fitter for Trani's Shoe Store for over 40 years and a member of Retail Clerks. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, family and friends, baking and cooking, spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids, casino trips, knitting, sewing and crochet, gardening, and making ceramic dolls. Vilma belonged to many clubs, including The Women's Club (as pres), Peck Park Seniors, Holy Trinity's Ave Maria Society, Hi Neighbors, Little Sisters of the Poor, Mary Star of the Sea Velike Gospe Society and Better Half clubs. Visitation will be held on Sunday, 5-7 p.m. at McNerney's Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in San Pedro, with rosary being offered at 10am and mass being offered at 10:30 am. Entombment to follow at Green Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America www.alzfdn.org or San Pedro Peninsula Cancer Guild, ATTN: Phyllis Trujillo, 7 Wagon Lane, Rolling Hills, CA 90274.
