Visitation for Christopher "Topher" Calderon, 58, of Moline, IL, will be 4:00 - 6:00 PM Monday, May 13, 2024, at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:00 p.m. Private graveside services will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Mr. Calderon passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at University Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City, IA.
Topher was born May 7, 1966, in Moline, the son of Santa and Theresa Bustos Calderon.
Christopher was known for his friendliness, support, and care for others with a smile that was so precious, and he had such a comical laugh that he would share with many. His main interest and knowledge were in movies, music and participating often in his favorite sport, which is volleyball. What he loved most of all was his Sunday afternoons with his mother, which he always loved spending time with her religiously.
Survivors include his mother, Theresa Calderon, East Moline; siblings: Michael (Fred) Calderon-Magis, Chicago, IL, Carrie Calderon, Moline, Melissa Calderon, Moline; and a "special uncle/godfather," Manuel (Kathy) Bustos.
He was recently preceded in death by his father, Santa Calderon.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the Calderon family.
