Lawrence Campana, 81, of Naperville, IL, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at his home.
A graveside service was held 11:30 AM, Saturday June 15, 2024, at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family.
Lawrence was born on May 29, 1943, in Rock Island, IL, the son of Anthony and Fern Eileen (Parvin) Campana. He graduated from Rock Island High School. After graduation he joined to United States Navy.
Mr. Campana had been the Owner and Administrator of the former Fejervary Nursing Center, Davenport. He enjoyed raising Saddlebred Horses, boating, and driving his classic cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Fern Campana.

I have been friends with Larry since 1983. He was a treasured friend to me and my family. He was the god father to my son, came to family gathering, celebrations and shared in our time of grief. We spent many times on his boat, with the horses, at the parks with the kids, and especially eating at Rudy´s. We had just taken his mom to Rudy´s when she was still alive and we had made plans to go back next time he had time to come to the quad cities. I last spoke with him just before his birthday and called again in September only to fine out that he had passed away. I regret not getting the last time at Rudy´s with him. I think when the weather gets nice again I will be taking some to the cemetery. I will miss his unending friendship, friendly ear to listen, his great advice, and especially his contagious laugh. I was so lucky to have called him my friend and a part of my family. He will be so very much missed. Love you Larry. Mary Schreiner and family, Dave, Matthew and Kael.
