EAST MOLINE-Madison "Maddie" Melea Fox, 25, of East Moline, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus.
Visitation will be held at 4:30 p.m. – 7 p.m., Friday, September 16, 2022, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Cremation will follow visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan, or Rock Island Animal Hospital.
Maddie was born on June 20, 1997, in Moline, the daughter of James Fox and Diedra Cox. She was currently employed at IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union, Silvis Branch, as a member service representative. Maddie was a giving person and an avid animal lover and humanitarian. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and her fur babies, traveling, fishing and hiking. Maddie was a roller coaster enthusiast and enjoyed going to concerts and the drive-in.
Maddie was a very selfless soul. She lived a very short life, but she lived her life to the fullest.
Survivors include her mother and step-father, Diedra & Mickey Barnes; father, James; sister, Alayna Fox; beloved partner, Braeden Battin; grandparents, Pam Niner, Pamela Smallwood, Hans (Liz) Heike; aunts and uncles, Nicole Kalomas, Amber (Jeff) Bisinger, Jamie (Kristi) Newton, Joe (Nicole) Fox, Jenny (Eric) Dillon, Kiel (Amanda) Heike, Angela (Kristen) Heike; fur babies, Titus, Manny and Will. She loved and cherished all of her extended family, cousins, and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Richard Newton and Tom McLean.
