PORT BYRON-Steve Dailey, 67, of Port Byron, Illinois, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Unity Point – Trinity in Rock Island, Illinois. No services are planned per Steve's wishes. Memorials may be made to the American Legion for the Vietnam Vets.
Steve was born on November 18, 1954, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Darlene (Anderson) and Lloyd Dailey. He attended Riverdale Schools in Port Byron and went on to work for Williams White Co. for 37+ years. Steve married Linda Carico and they shared 43+ years of marriage. He loved riding his Harley's, fishing, and hanging out with his friends. He was a fan of the Chicago Bears, the Fighting Illini, and always enjoyed a nice cold Busch Lite.
Steve is survived by his wife, Linda; mother, Darlene; brothers, Larry (Beth) Dailey, Rodney (Denise) Dailey; son-in-law, Jeff Houston; grandchildren, Sydney Houston, Devin Sharretts; and a great granddaughter, Rayannah Sharretts. He was preceded in death by his daughter Jessica Houston; father, Lloyd Dailey; brother, Stan Dailey; mother and father-in-law, Myron and Alice Carico, and many friends.
