Tommy was born on October 13, 1956 to Thomas Sr. and Joan Mindock Leingang in Moline, IL. He graduated from Sherrard High School in 1974. He married Deanne A. Cralle Shradar on October 23, 1999 at their home in Sherrard. Tommy worked for 37 years for the Village of Milan water and streets departments.
His greatest love was for his wife and his family. He would do anything for anybody. He was always just a call away whether it be; farming with Todd, building decks with Brian or clearing trees with Gordon. He was a 'tree-hugger', but enjoyed splitting firewood for friends and family. He enjoyed shooting fireworks, always having a big display for family and friends on the 4th of July, and shooting for Fyre Lake with his family. He only had a short time on his John Deere, but he was pretty proud of it.
Tommy liked going to the casino, bowling, playing Chess, Risk and Empire. He also helped at the Sherrard Fire Station, flipping pancakes or getting fish ready for the fish fry. He loved drawing on envelopes for birthdays and Christmas for his nieces and nephews; making their days special. He belonged to the 'Last Chance' group, Moline.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Deanne, Sherrard; son and daughter-in-law, Brock and Michelle Shradar, Sherrard; grandson, Brandon (wife, Taylor) Tinman, Utah; great grandson, Brooks Tinman; his brother, David (wife, Carol) Leingang, Sherrard; sister, Susan (husband, Brad) Titus, Richmond, KY; sister-in-law, Jill Leingang (Mike Anderson), Geneseo, IL; sister-in-law, Joanne Walker, Reynolds, IL ; brother-in-law, Jerry (wife, Traci) Cralle, Rock Island; nieces and nephews, Nick, Nicole, John, Audi, Amy, Steve, Caitlyn, Sara, Eric, Joseph, Robert, Haylee and Dillon.
