Amanda Parkey Obituary
Amanda was born October 1, 1985, to Richard Wayne Jackson and Vicki Jean Bond Jackson in Portales, NM. She married Matthew James Parkey August 6, 2011, in Lubbock, TX. Amanda received a Bachelors degree in Psychology from WT and a Masters degree from Texas Tech. She worked as a DWI Probation Officer for Magistrate Court. Amanda attended Parkland Baptist Church with her family. She enjoyed camping, golfing, shooting, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Matthew Parkey of the home; son, James Michael Parkey of Portales, NM; parents, Richard and Vicki Jackson of Clovis, NM; grandparents, Darryl (Gail) Bond of Clovis, NM and Sharon Jackson Meeks of Texico, NM; brother, Brandon Wayne Jackson (Myca Ward) of Clovis, NM; in-laws, Michael Kent (Quaylene) Parkey, and Betty Lavon Parkey of Portales, NM; two sisters-in-law, Allison Michelle (Russell) Craig and Kelly Madelle (JoJo) De La Rosa of Portales, NM; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James Edward "Grits" Jackson, Velma Ann Bond, and Leon Meeks.
A memorial fund has been set up in her name at the Bank of Clovis, 300 N. Main Street, Clovis, NM 88101.

Although I only knew Amanda a short while, her magnetic personality and heart-warming smile will stay with me for the rest of my life. My condolences go out to Matt, James and to all that knew and loved her. She will be missed, but her memory will burn bright for an eternity. R.I.P. Sweet Amanda.
