Pete Fulgencio Valverde Jr.

1950 - 2018

Pete Fulgencio Valverde Jr. passed away on February 13, 2018, in Amarillo, TX.
He was born April 7, 1950, to Pete Valverde Sr. and Miquela Rivera Valverde in Tucumcari, New Mexico. He attended St. Anne's Catholic School and graduated from Tucumcari High School in 1969.
Pete was eight years old when he lost his mother and would often talk about the memories he had of her. He was preceded in death by his dad, Pete Sr, whom he loved dearly. He is now reunited with his parents. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Marcello and Beatrice Valverde who were very instrumental in raising him and his siblings.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and his friends. He enjoyed shooting pool, playing cards, and celebrating life one day at a time. He displayed his wit with humor and intelligence. He was highly protective and exceeding loyalty to those he loved. He will forever be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by two brothers, Charlie and Solo Valverde of Tucumcari; two sisters, Marcy Maestas of Tucumcari and Rita Aragon of Amarillo. Many aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who are left to cherish his memory.
