Cameron "Skeeter" Haynes
Cameron "Skeeter" Haynes, 69, of Davenport, IA passed away while over the road in Columbus, IN. A visitation will be held 10:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024, at Berean Baptist Church Davenport. His funeral service will follow at 12:00p.m. Friday at the church. Burial will follow at the National Cemetery Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to Berean Baptist Church and condolences can be shared at www.rungemortuary.com.
Skeeter was born August 18, 1954, in Davenport to Cameron G. & Lois (Kester) Haynes. He had been married to Kandy Keltner & Tamara McManaway. Skeeter had been a certified master Mechanic with Rock Island Bus barn & Brown National Lease. More recently he was an over the road truck driver for Robinson Trucking, Muscatine, IA.
Skeeter was an accomplished woodworker making cribs & cabinets for the family, was a fabricator, worked on old cars, built motorized model planes & trains, and was a good cook often preparing Thanksgiving dinner.
Skeeter is survived by four sons: Cameron Haynes, Davenport, Corey (Megan) Clements, Blue Grass, Joe ( Amy) Haynes, Blue Grass, & Casey (Jamie) Clements, Excelsior Springs, MO; a daughter, Elizabeth Haynes, Davenport; grandchildren: Christopher Kraft, Mariah Kraft, Austin Kraft, Maci Haywood, Izaiah, Letts, Arisa Clements, Riley Letts, Kayelee Clements, Clayton Clements, Cayden Clements, Kaizlee Haynes, Brandon Haynes, Logan Haynes, Rachel Isenburg, Gabriella Murray, Paizleigh Clements, Corbyn Clements, Richard Hepner, Rebecca Oliver, Shyanne Bribriesco, Santana Bribriesco, Adriana Gilbert , Michael Puig, Kristin Potts, Tycen Peel, & Alyssa Peel; & 15 great-grandchildren with one more on the way.
Skeeter was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers: Gordon & Greg Haynes.

I remember Cameron fondly from our days at St. Anthony. My prayers go with the family during this difficult time.
