Michael L. Anderson, 52, of West Seattle WA, formerly of Moline, passed away after a long battle against cancer on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at his home with his brother, Jeff and special friend, Erin Koontz at his side.
Funeral services will be 2pm, Friday, April 23, 2021 at First Lutheran Church, Moline with visitation one hour prior to the service. Masks will be required at the church. Private family burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Rock Island County Animal Shelter or Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Honolulu, HI.
Michael was born October 14, 1968 in Moline, the son of Robert L. and Roberta M. (Linse) Anderson.
Michael attended Illinois Wesleyan on an art scholarship later transferring to Illinois State University at Normal. He finished school with a degree in landscaping design. Soon after finishing college he moved to Seattle. He continued in designing and landscape work and owned and operated Vineyard Garden Design for a number of years. He worked on many properties along Lake Washington and throughout the Seattle area, enhancing the beauty of the community.
Mike treasured spending time with his family, dog (Ginger) and friends. He enjoyed his Friday night jam band, art, wine making, gardening, outdoor adventures and all the northwest had to offer.
Mike is survived by his parents, Bob and Bobbie Anderson, brother, Jeff (Linda) Anderson, nieces, Lauren and Lindsey; special friend and companion, Erin Koontz; his dog, Ginger and many friends from college and school.
