Inez Kubal Obituary

RAPID CITY - Inez Eilene Kubal, 69, Rapid City, died Sunday, April 4, 2009, at Rapid City Regional Hospital. She was born Sept. 22, 1939, in Winner to Nels and Grace Anderson. As a young girl she lived with her family in many different towns in eastern South Dakota as well as in the Black Hills. She graduated from the eighth grade before working full time. On June 9, 1956 she married her loving husband, Laddie Kubal in Deadwood. The couple lived in Rapid Valley where Mrs. Kubal worked for the Rapid City Post Office as a Rural Mail Carrier for over 30 years. She enjoyed many activities, such as bowling, crafting with her special group of friends, gardening vegetables as well as flowers and wonderful house plants, playing countless hours of cards with her family and friends and she also loved to travel to Deadwood and play the slots with her husband, her son and her daughter and their families. She took great and caring pleasure in her family, especially her two grandchildren, great-grandson and the many nieces and nephews, as well as the many children who congregated at the family home over the many years of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nels and Grace Anderson; two brothers, Nels Anderson Jr. and Jack Anderson; and three sisters Jeanette Dimond, Johanna Holmquist and Grace Rice. Survivors include her husband, Laddie Kubal, her son, Mike Kubal and wife Jan Osheim-Kubal, her daughter, Gloria Stanley and husband Gary, and her granddaughter, Danielle Dahlenburg and husband Jason, all of Rapid City; her grandson, Jarrod Stanley, Eugene, OR; her great-grandson, Seth Dahlenburg, Rapid City; and her brother, Richard Anderson and wife Arlene, Hardin, MT. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 9, at the funeral home with Pastor Art Sartorius officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Lawn Cemetery. A reception will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Alano Society in Rapid City. The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association. I am sorry for your loss. Laddie was a good team member, and hard worker. He was able to do so, in part, because of the support and help he received from Inez. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers. Many happy memories of riding in the mail jeep with Inez, how dusty that was. God bless all. Sincerely, Gregg & Heather Biske ( Chucks Grandaughter)
