RAPID CITY - Scott Alan Grimsrud, 45, Rapid City, SD passed away March 19, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. He graduated from Britton High School in 1982. Scott attended South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Agri-business in 1986. He enjoyed spending time in Presho, South Dakota at their "farm" hunting with his son, family members and friends. Scott is survived by his wife, Diane; daughter, Brittany; son, James all of Rapid City; his parents, Jim and Carla Grimsrud of Britton; his sister, Angela Bennett of Center City, Minnesota; and his grandmother, Margaret Wickre of Britton. Dear Diane, I was recently in touch with Alisa and she told me she had heard from a mutual friend that Scott had passed away recently. I was so sorry to hear about your loss. He was such a nice down to earth fellow. It was probably 12 years ago last time I saw you both. You had recently built a new home...
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Take care

Scott was my friend. A long time ago I had the good fortune to work with him and get to know him, Diane, and eventually, Brittany and James.
I'll remember Scott as an honorable man; a man that had a quiet strength and calmness about himself. Scott was a man of integrity. He had great love for his dear wife and children.
I'm better for knowing Scott Grimsrud.

Diane and Family
we were so shocked to hear about Scott. He adored his Family and was a joy to his friends. The last time I saw Scott he was in the store buying Valentines Flowers for you Diane. He said Roses with that he picked up a pot of tea roses maybe I should get her two of these. That would be more than a dozen. He just chuckled and had that grin on his face. He was a good man know that he is in God's Hands and again I am glad we met the two of you in Confirmations class and Thank You for being my sponsor Diane. You all are in our prayers
Sincerely,

It is so hard to believe Scott is gone forever. When I looked outside it is very hard to comprehend he is not in body with us as a husband, father, son, brother and great human being friend. Only God knows why you are gone, maybe he needed someone special to do some construction projects for him, and what a better fit than Scott. God take care of Scott and his family....
