Ontelaunee Twp., passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Reading Hospital
after a courageous battle with cancer
She was the wife of
Joseph C. Buda.
Born in Reading on April 7, 1942, she was the daughter of the late James and Esther (Basom) Hiester.
She was a graduate of Reading High School. Barbara retired from Vanity Fair after 25 years of employment. She was a member of Bern Reformed U.C.C.
Barbara wanted to be remembered for her sense of humor, love of traveling, playing bingo, being a huge NASCAR fan of Jimmie Johnson, and her love for her two parakeets, "Buster" and "Dutchess."
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Deborah A., wife of Kent Morey, Fleetwood; a stepdaughter, Melissa K., wife of Aaron Potts, Shillington; a brother, Barry Lutz; and two granddaughters, Christie M. Coleman and Chloe Potts. She was predeceased by her companion, James C. Natoli, in 2011.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home Inc., Wernersville, with Rev. Sue Fritz officiating. A visitation with the family will be Tuesday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bern Reformed U.C.C., 3196 Bernville Rd., Leesport, PA 19533.

Barbara and I were friends since grade school and I was so sorry to hear of her passing. Sincere condolences to Joe and her children and grandchildren. May she rest in peace now with those who have passed before her. Goodbye old friend.

I knew both Barb and Joe. I worked with them for a number of yearsat VF. Barb was a wonderful person. We used to talk together alot about our mutual love of traveling and cruises.
