With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Dawn Marie Buda, who left us peacefully on December 1, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on September 1, 1966, in Dover, Delaware, Dawn grew up with a spirit as vibrant as her smile and a heart full of kindness. She was a proud graduate of Liverpool High School in New York and spent her years bringing joy as a dedicated server in the restaurant industry.
A passionate participant in the Special Olympics, Dawn's energy inspired those around her. She also had a unique talent for bringing happiness to everyone around her. She was known for her altruistic nature, always ready to give and share, especially with children, ensuring they had candy and a smile. Her love for others shined through her involvement in various activities, especially as a volunteer with Vivante. Whether setting up for events, serving food, or lending a helping hand, she was always eager to pitch in wherever she was needed.
A lover of soap operas and cooking shows, Dawn had a zest for life that was infectious. She brought warmth and laughter into every room she graced and created cherished memories with her family and friends. She is survived by her beloved father, Tony Buda; her brother, Anthony Buda, and sister-in-law, Melissa Godfrey-Buda; her nephew, Brandon Buda, her aunt, Cindy Branch, uncles, Peter Buda and Geno Caiello, and her many cousins, who will carry her legacy in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Georgia.
We will celebrate her beautiful spirit at a Vivante ceremony to be announced at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that you consider making a donation to Tidewell Hospice of Port Charlotte, as a tribute to the loving care she always extended to others. https://tidewellhospice.org/
Dawn, your big heart and unwavering kindness will be dearly missed but will live on in the lives you touched.
