She was the widow of Walter R. Shaffer, who died in 1997. Her first husband, Gerald C. Miller, died in 1950.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late George Fasig and Laura (Nittinger) Fasig Rothenberger and a stepdaughter of the late Daniel Rothenberger.
Mrs. Shaffer was a cook at Centre Union Rod and Gun Club for many years.
She is survived by five sons: Harold J. Fasig, Wernersville; Gerald L. Miller, Stony Creek Mills; Craig M. Shaffer, Kenhorst; Brad W. Shaffer, Blandon; and Troy D. Shaffer, Millmont; and four daughters: Alice J. Shirey, Oley; Beverly M. Szkwarek, Shartlesville; Clastine M. Matthias, Fleetwood; and Eva A. Cox, Shillington.
Other survivors include three brothers: Stanley Fasig, Stony Creek Mills; Francis Rothenberger, Laureldale; and John Fasig, Hartwood, Va.; and six sisters: Elizabeth Beeman, Hartwood; Doris Wesner, Temple; Barbara Showers, Lincoln Park; Dorothy Deese and Kathleen Oswald, both of Gloucester, Va.; and Mary Messersmith, State College.
There also are 23 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother, William Fasig; and a sister, Florence Haisch.
Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Lutz Funeral Home Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Ave., Mount Penn. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading. Viewing will be Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home.
