daughter in Lancaster County.
She was the wife of Luther C. Muckel who died on March 3, 1999.
Born in Morgantown, she was the daughter of the late Warren H. and Catherine (Hogg) James.
Helen retired from the Bollman Hat Company in Adamstown.
She enjoyed crocheting baby blankets and afghans for all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and loved to play bingo.
She was a member of the Brecknock Twp. Fire Company and was the oldest member of the Alleghenyville
Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Surviving are four children: Patricia (Muckel), widow of Paul S. Buohl, of Denver; Mary (Muckel), wife of David Imes, of Perkiomenville; and Grace (Muckel), wife of
Roman Petrosky, of Sinking Spring; and Luther V. Muckel, of Mohnton.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Sandra
Eager, Kelly Eager, Diane Glasford, Stephanie Long, Brad Imes, Paul Walker and Jennifer Olafsen; 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Joan Kline; grandson, Dennis Olafsen; and three siblings: Grace Seifert, George James and William James.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Friday, October 6, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut St., Mohnton, with Pastor Thomas H. Reinfel, officiating.
Friends may call on Friday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be private for the family at Allegheny
Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Allegheny Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1327 Alleghenyville Road, Mohnton, PA 19540, or to the Brecknock Twp. Fire Co., 1153 Kurtz Mill Road, Mohnton, PA 19540.

As I was a little girl and now all growing up love this Beautiful Women. My Parents Andy and Ruth Mullis got there taxes done by her and Ruth played Bingo with her. And I worked with Helen at Bollmans Hat Factory. Love seeing her at the Bollman Christmas Dinner! May you rest in peace my dear friend!!!! Love Josephine ( Mullis) Miller
