He was the husband of Stacey A. (Bailey) Young. Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Vincent I. and D. Elaine (Noll) Young.
John was a 1978 graduate of Hamburg Area High School and earned a degree in hotel/restaurant management from the Culinary Arts of Delaware.
He last worked at Cabela's, Tilden Twp.
John was a member of the Shoemakersville Fire Company.
He loved animals and enjoyed cooking. John especially loved being with his friends-they were his family.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Stacey, are a niece and nephew and his eleven birds and two cats.
John wanted his life celebrated, not mourned.
