He was admitted to the hospital from Phoebe-Berks Health Care Center, Wernersville, where he had resided for a month.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Silvestro and Rosa (Milici) Cocuzza.
He was employed as a certified machinist by Textile Machine Works until his retirement.
He was a Navy Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Cocuzza was a 1941 graduate of Reading High School and the Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute.
He was a co-founder of the AT&T Credit Union, Reading, and a former officer in local chapters of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was a member of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America and the Crusaders Athletic Club of Reading.
Surviving are three sons: Anthony J., husband of Jean Cocuzza, Reading; David J., husband of Susan Cocuzza, Laureldale; and James J., husband of Cynthia Cocuzza, Mount Penn; and a daughter, Ginnine L. Cocuzza, New York City.
Other survivors include a brother, Sylvester J., husband of Betty J. Cocuzza, Galion, Ohio; a sister, Felicia C. Trevino, Piqua, Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Emma Cocuzza, Temple.
There also are three grandchildren, a great-grandson, six nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.
Additional survivors include a long-time companion, Peggy Huber, Muhlenberg Township.
He was predeceased by a brother, Charles Cocuzza.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Milkins Funeral Home Inc., 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple, with Monsignor Dennis Hartgen officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Tuckerton. Friends may call Monday, one hour prior to service time in the funeral home.
