Joseph Frick Obituary


Joseph R. Frick, 76, Muhlenberg Township, died Dec. 23, 2009, in St. Joseph Medical Center.

He was the husband of Joyce M. (Ritz) Frick.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Frank and Anna (Hartberger) Frick.

He was a 1951 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

Joseph was an U.S. Army veteran stationed in Germany, serving during the Korean conflict.

He was employed as a welder for 36 years by Dana Corporation.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Patricia M., wife of Phil Young, Indian Trail, N.C.; and Karen L., wife of Dennis Quartapella, Morgantown.

He is also survived by three grandchildren: Phil Rapp, Joseph Rapp and Sara Rapp; one nephew and one niece.

He was predeceased by his brother, Frank Frick.

Joseph was warm and friendly and had a great sense of humor.

He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

No services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 25 Stevens Ave., West Lawn, PA 19609. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
