She was the wife of the late Samuel W. Bashore, who died Jan. 12, 1989.
Born in Shoemakersville, she was a
daughter of the late William and Geneva (DeLong) Waxwood.
She was a member of Little Swatara Church of the
Brethren, Bethel.
She was a waitress and then also a sewing machine
operator, retiring in 1991.
She was a member of Berks County Farm Women's Group, 50 Plus and Women's Fellowship.
She is survived by two children, Lester D. Bashore Sr.,
Bethel, and Wendy G., wife of Robert A. Lingle, Bethel; a sister, Wilma Leininger, Leesport; five grandchildren: BethAnn, Lester (Danny), Dorinda, Crystal and Dana; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five sisters: Carrie Wenrich, Gladys Althouse, Phyllis Bashore, Marlene Wallace and Bernice Shirk.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, at Little Swatara Church of the Brethren, 31 Rehrersburg Rd.,
Bethel, with her pastor, the Rev. Matt Christ officiating. A viewing will be held from 6-8:00 p.m., Sunday, and 9-10:00 a.m., Monday, at the church. Burial will be in Merkey's Cemetery. Hill Funeral Home, Rehrersburg, is handling
arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
