Mary Kehs Obituary


Mary Elizabeth (Becker) Kehs, 94,

formerly of Muhlenberg Township, passed away peacefully in the Manor Care Nursing Center, Laureldale, PA on January 17, 2013.

Mary was the widow of Regis F. Kehs, her high school sweetheart, who passed away in 1992. They celebrated fifty-three inseparable years together until his passing.

She was born in Reading, PA on June 24, 1918, the daughter of the late George and Gertrude M. (Glase) Becker.

Mrs. Kehs was employed by the former Chaffee Beauty Salon, Reading as a beautician in the earlier years of her life.

Mary was a graduate of the Bryland Institute of Beauty and a 1936 graduate of Reading High School.

Mary is survived by a son, Brian F., husband of Pamela A. Kehs, of Muhlenberg Township. She also had a grandson, Eric J., and a great-granddaughter, Gillian M., both of Conshohocken, PA.

Mary will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Graveside services from Charles Evans Cemetery, 1119 Centre Avenue, Reading, Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Please gather inside main arch of the cemetery.
