Mary Rush

Mary Ellen Rush, 84, formerly of Amity Township, died July 13, 2016, in Manatawny Manor, Pottstown.

She was the wife of Robert D. Rush, who died December 21, 1996. Born in her

Spangsville residence on January 24, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Conrad R. and Mary E. (Prutzman) Sittler.

Mary was a 1949 graduate of Oley Valley High School.

She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Oley Township, where she was a member of the Women's Guild.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Donna F., wife of

Jacob C. Rothermel, and Glenna M., wife of Donald A. Albitz, all of Earl Township.

Other survivors include three sisters: Anna Mae, widow of Robert Kline, of Kutztown; Doris, widow of Carl Bowers, of Oley; and Ruth, wife of Stanley Marburger, of Oley.

She was affectionately known as "Grammy" to her two granddaughters, Dr. Christy Rothermel and Kelly, wife of Bryan Sullivan; and two great-grandsons, Riley J. and Noah R. Sullivan.

Mary was predeceased by a brother, Robert Sittler.

Services will be held Saturday, July 16th, at 10:00 a.m. in Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley. A viewing will be held in the funeral home

Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown.
