Meredith McCloskey Obituary

To remember Meredith...one immediately smiles. She exuded a welcoming, inclusive, spontaneously controlled energy. One couldn’t help but to feel and feed off of her presence. To remember Meredith…one can feel her deep felt and genuine sense of community, her love of neighbors, compassion, kindness and genuine warmth to those both new and known to her. To remember Meredith...one recalls her unique way of staying connected with friendships even if months and years were between being together. And when the text or call came in, she would immediately respond. Love and laughter always at the center of those bonds. To remember Meredith...one will recall her deep spiritual belief and faith. She wasn’t shy about telling you what she believed in and what she expected in the next chapter of her life thereafter. She always talked about doing the right thing even if it was unpopular. To remember Meredith...one hears her bright, free and contagious laughter. She found joy in little things and was always brightening the days of those around her - friends, family, strangers and coworkers. Quick with a smile, joke or inside story, these memories make us all laugh. To remember Meredith...one remembers how strong, determined, and independent she was especially as a mother to her son Jace. He is and will always be her everything. Whether driving hundreds of miles in a day for various soccer practices and tournaments or bouncing down to the beach to play in the sand and play mini golf, Jace was at the center of it all. To remember Meredith...WE all are reminded to play in the dirt, stop and enjoy the blue sky and the sun on our faces, listen to music, live life to the fullest, sleep tomorrow not today, and always-always smile and love. Meredith, 51, of Wyomissing, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021. Born in Ashland, Pa., Meredith attended St. Pius X High School. She is survived by her son Jace Bausher, mother Margaret Ireland McCloskey, brother John McCloskey and his three children Jack, Ashley and Luke. Her professional career spanned many facets of healthcare. She had a passion for seniors, Alzheimer’s care and finding resolutions for older adults in need. Moreover, she focused energy towards educating others to care for individuals with dementia and advocating for dementia/Alzheimer’s.
