He was a kind and learned gentleman, not to mention a distinguished colleague at MCCC. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

He also had a wonderful sanse of humor. Years ago he was refereeing a Ursinus soccer match when Ursinus' coach was MCCC colleague Walt Manning.

They kept up a good natured banter until late in the game when Manning shall we say vigorously objected to a call.

"One more word and you're out of here," Raf warned.

"Is the word 'choke'" asked Manning.

"The very one," said Raf and tossed Manning out of the game.

They laughed about it for years thereafter.

Miss ya, Raf.

Just think of waking up on calm seas and finding it heaven,
Of breathing new air and finding it celestial,
Of touching a hand and finding it God's,
Of stepping on shore and finding it Home.

The world is worse off with the loss of this gentleman. It was an honor & a pleasure to have known him. I know right now he is driving down a fairway in a golf cart with David enjoying a blueberry muffin. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Rest in Peace my friend.

Our sympathy to Mary Sue and the family. Butch will be missed. I got to know Butch, (as he was known at West Chester), in my freshmen year at West Chester, and our friendship continued beyond graduation. Butch was a good student at WC and a multi sport athlete, especially a high achiever on Kelly baseball team. Butch had a very friendly and extroverted personality, and he could have people around him laugh until their sides ached.

Marty and I send our condolences to Mary Sue, whom we always adored, and her family. Don, (Doc), and Marty Herr
