Richard Matz Obituary

Richard E. Matz Richard E. Matz, 70, of Sinking Spring passed away February 6th, 2022 after a long struggle to recover from a severe stroke. He was the husband of Sandra (Eisenhart) Matz whom he married August 20th, 1983 and he was the son of the late Samuel and Stella Matz. He was a graduate of Wilson High School. Richard was employed by Met-Ed for over 30 years before retiring in 2015. He enjoyed rebuilding classic cars, collecting breweriana, antiques, vintage watches, farming, and taking vacations with his family. He was a member of the Gouglersville Fire Company and the former Adamstown VFW. He was a hardworking man with an extremely kind heart who would gladly go out of his way to help others. Richard is survived by his wife Sandra and son Michael Matz. Other survivors include his stepson Sean Stewart, grandson Zachary Stewart, daughter-in-law Adrienne Matz, sister-in-law Barbara Kline and nephew Barry Kline Jr. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Bean Funeral Home, Sinking Spring will handle the arrangements.
