Richarda Banks Obituary
Richarda L. "Ricci" Banks, 59, of Sinking Spring, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center after a six year battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was surrounded by those she loved most.
Ricci was born on January 14, 1958 in Fort Eustis, Virginia to the late Richard L. Sr. and Elisabeth (Russ) Wiswesser.
Ricci was a 1976 Graduate of Wilson High School and went on to work for West Reading Opthalmic Associates, Reading Berks Physical Therapy and finally the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
Ricci was loved by all who knew her for her straight shooting and matter of fact personality. She endured a long battle against her disease in the last years of her life but through out it all she continued to fight for anyone around her she felt needed her strength and determination. She put others ahead of herself and for that, among many other reasons, she will be missed by many.
Ricci is survived by her loving husband, Jeffrey A. Banks and daughter, Kirsten J. DiMariano, wife of Dino (Sinking Spring), son Kyle E. Banks, husband of Dana (Wyomissing) and grandsons Chase, Greyson, Sawyer and Charlie. She is also survived by two brothers, Richard L. Wiswesser and Robbie L. Wiswesser. Ricci will also be missed tremendously by her 2 furry loyal companions, Choco and Roxy.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 6th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a service to be held on Monday, August 7th at 11:00 a.m. - all at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Ave, Mt. Penn, 19606. Entombment is private.
In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to support Penn Medicine's 2-PREVENT Translational Center of Excellence and sent to Penn Medicine Development, 3535 Market Street, Suite 750, Philadelphia, PA 19104 or visit www.pennmedicine.org/2preventtce. Dear Jeff and Families, Johan and I are so sad to hear that your wife lost her long battle with cancer. When you did construction work on our home in Hessian Pines, you spoke of your wife, Ricci, often. Although I had never met her, I felt as if I knew her
