He was born in Somerville, New Jersey, on February 28th, 1983. He was a member of Saint John Baptist de la Salle Roman Catholic Church in Shillington and was a 2001 graduate of Hudson High School in Hudson, Ohio.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Gannon University in Erie, Pa., in 2004 and worked as a Technical Sales Engineer.
In addition to his wife Cassandra "Cassie," Robert is survived by his children, Robert A. "Robbie" Giunta and Emmamae C. Giunta, both at home. He is also survived by his parents Robert P. Giunta, Eileen (McCarthy) Giunta of Hudson, Ohio, brother Michael Giunta, of Saratoga Springs, New York and his sister Jennifer Mae Giunta of Alexandria, Virginia.
Robert was a devoted husband, father, son and friend. His infectious smile would brighten up the darkest of spaces. His soul was kind and he made many friends over the years.
He loved to travel from a young age and that love took him to many places with his family, from living in the states to England for 3 years, where he and his family traveled to many places abroad. He shared a love for sports as a goalie for Hudson High School, Ohio All State, and Hofstra University lacrosse teams. He also traveled across the country playing paintball from coast to coast with the semi-pro team Punishers. He was a very passionate WW1 Canadian reenactor with the PPCLI, WW2 U.S. reenactor with a unit he started, the 4th ID Combat Engineer battalion, historian and award winner for his military vehicle restorations.
Hearing the stories of many veterans inspired him to portray the best possible recreation of their images from the war. A friend said it best when he told Rob, "You have had a short life but it is a life well lived."

Rob's ability to light up a room with his smile is his most lasting impression. I have many memories of Rob - all begin with that broad smile and twinkle in his eye. Rob is already greatly missed, but memories of his friendship and candor will live with all of us for the rest of our lives.
Cassie - the Lord blessed you with a wonderful man. Together you created a wonderful family. We are saddened at Rob's passing. But we are eternally grateful for the wonderful life he lived and the wonderful family he created with you!

Robbie now is at peace. He will be an angel looking down on his children and family. He no longer is sick or in pain. His body has left this world, but his spirit lives in the hearts of his children, his parents, siblings and wife Cassie. He brought joy to many people and touched many lives. Robbie, we salute you and may you rest in peace with our Heavenly Father.
