Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Harry G. and Mary (Ludwig) Sheaffer. Ruth was the loving wife of the late Clyde G. Spangler.
For 21 years, Ruth worked as a nurse's aide for Pleasant View Retirement Community.
Ruth will be greatly missed by her loving family.
She is survived by her four children: Barbara Nissley, Denver; Norma Denlinger, wife of Bryan, of Morgantown; Carl Spangler, of East Petersburg; and Ruth Ann Spangler, of Ephrata. She is also survived by two step-sons, Norman Spangler, of Red Lion, and Clyde Spangler Jr., husband of Jennifer, of Lititz; and a sister, Edna Sheaffer, of Ephrata.
Ruth was preceded in death by her step-son, Larry Spangler, and brothers and sisters.
Family and friends will be received from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 31, 2016, at St. Luke's United Church of Christ, 222 N. Broad St., Lititz, PA 17543. Family and friends will be received at the church from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow at Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Brickerville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Ruth's name be made to the charity of your choosing.
