Stephen Bennett

Stephen Richard Bennett, 72, of Elverson, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at his home. Born in Upper Darby, Steve was the son of the late, Richard W. Bennett and Margaret (Cummings). Stephen was a graduate of Marple Newtown High School, and went on to work as a diesel mechanic for Penn Detroit Diesel for over 40 years. Steve obtained his pilot's license and loved flying, often going for quick trips with his flying friends. He enjoyed hiking, biking, and cooking, and working on any little project he could keep busy on. He will always be remembered for helping anyone he could with fixing things. Steve is survived by his children, Lori McClure, wife of Ron, of Mohnton, John Bennett, husband of Karen, of Mullica Hill, NJ, and Kenneth Bennett, of Upper Darby, and the children's mother, Toni (Lacey) Bennett. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Hailey, Kaitlyn, Regan, Annelise, Reese, Andrew, Wesley, and sister, Lynn Deminski, wife of Mike, of West Chester. He is survived by his significant other, Liz Hulse. Funeral service for Steve will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 129 E. Lancaster Ave. Shillington on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 10:30 AM.
