William Scholl Obituary

Following a lengthy battle with cancer, William M. Scholl, age 80, of Bern Township, PA, died on December 22, 2023. Beloved son and brother, Bill was a 1961 graduate of Governor Mifflin School District. He was a gifted athlete, excelling in football, basketball, and track and field. Son of William and Emily "Betty" Scholl of Shillington, Bill attended Penn State University. Later he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served on one of the first nuclear submarines. Following his military service, Bill worked for Bell Telephone for 19 years. He then worked for Berks Homes, and later retired from Berkco Properties in 2005. Married for 52 years to his wife, Lynda, Bill was a loving husband, as well as a nurturing father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Bill is survived by his wife, Lynda, his brother, John, his son, Steven, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bill loved telling stories from his life experiences, sharing all he had learned with children and adults alike. Burial was held at the convenience of the immediate family.
