Gwendolyn (Parks) Bushell Gwendolyn (Parks) Bushell went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday June 19, 2013. She died suddenly after a brief illness. Gwen is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Greg) Chidester of Santa Rosa, CA, and son, David (Janet) Larsen of Meridian, Idaho. Her four grandchildren, Jake, Danny, Braeden and Naomi, brought her much laughter and joy. Gwen was born in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, April 28, 1942. As a young teen, she and her parents moved to San Rafael, CA, where she graduated from San Rafael High School. She was fortunate enough to love her life-long profession as a hairdresser. Gwen married her late husband, Hank, and moved to Clearlake in 1985. She enjoyed her view of the lake, Mt. Konocti, crossword puzzles, working in the yard and playing with kids of all ages. She was devoted to her volunteer work at the Clearlake Oaks Community United Methodist Church, where she could always be found holding a baby for a parent, working in the Thrift shop, and being church treasurer for many years. Gwen was a dependable, loving mother, friend and community member. Known as Gwen, Gwenie-bug, and Mema, she will be missed by many. A memorial service is planned for June 29 at 10 a.m. at the Clearlake Oaks United Methodist Church, at 12487 the "Plaza" in Clearlake Oaks.
