Michael Brian Mensco
August 8, 1945 – March 4, 2023

Michael was born to Geraldine and William Menasco in Lakeport, CA. They lived for a brief time in Washington and eventually moved back to Clearlake, CA, where
William started an
automobile dealership.
Michael attended Burns Valley Elementary and Lower Lake High School. He attended New Mexico Military Institute.
Upon graduation,
Michael served in the
Army as a Captain in the Vietnam conflict and was stationed in S. Korea. He met Patricia Newsom and they had their first child, Christopher, in California.
Michael received his undergraduate and
Master's in Business degrees from Cal State, Long Beach. The family moved to Oregon and were blessed with a second son, Milton. Michael earned his PhD at the University of Oregon and became a professor in business. He taught at Universities in Washington, Iowa, and California, and published numerous papers on marketing and decision
making.
During his career he taught at the University of California, Riverside, where he met and married Charlotte Weber. They retired from teaching and moved to Clearlake to be near his mother, Gerry.
Michael loved golf, writing, biking, fishing, hunting, music, and spending time with his granddaughters and family.
He is survived, loved and missed by his son, Chris; daughter-in-law, Amanda; granddaughters, Eva and Nellie; his siblings, Patty, Jim, and Matt and their spouses; and many nieces and nephews.
