Robert Folk Obituary
Robert Truesdale Folk, Jr.
Robert was born in Chester, CA, on January 3, 1947, to Robert Truesdale Folk, Sr. and Thelma Minerva McGee. He loved all sports and was co-captain of the football team at Chester High School. He still attended his reunions 50 years later, with his lifelong friends.
Robert received his B.S. in Business Administration from Fresno State in 1968 and was a proud member of Lamda Chi Alpha. He moved to San Francisco and began working in sales for Johnson and Johnson, where he was instrumental in introducing Tylenol to the US.
Robert moved part time to Lake County in 1992, where he met his future wife, Katie Bridges. He continued to work part time to complete a contract he and his partner had with the City of San Francisco to provide drugs to the medically indigent.
Robert married Katie in 1997, bought a house in Buckingham, and started the Limousine Connection (TLC), which he successfully operated until his passing. He loved and was loved by many people. Robert was a member of the Grace Church, the Elks, and an active member of the Gideons.
He is survived by his wife, Katie Folk; his sister, Mary (David) Shaw of Oxford, MS; brother, Ric (Tammy) Folk of Moscow, TN; brother, Brian
(Elizabeth) Folk of Spring, TX; and many nieces and nephews who loved Uncle Robert dearly. His sister Simsie, died in 1954, when Robert was 7.
We will have a memorial service for Robert at Grace Church in Kelseyville, on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 2 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at Buckingham Homeowners on Sunday, February 20 at 1 p.m. Bring your memories.

A classmate and teammate from 1953-1964 when we graduated from Chester HS. A great personality and community person. We last spoke in Oct. of randomly meeting at old Seals Stadium in 1959 for a Giants/Cincinnati game. His Grampa McGhee brought him up from Fresno, and we had seats close together, as I was visiting SF friends. We had a great time playing ball in HS, and he was an integral part of some good teams at Chester. Lots of stories my good friend. You will be missed....RIP Robert!
