Andrew Giacomini Obituary

Andrew V. Giacomini, 68, of Bristol, widower of Murielle (Leclair) Giacomini, died Dec.12, 2009, at home.
He was born Sept. 21, 1941, in Bristol and was a son of the late Andrew V. Giacomini Sr. and Rose (Castolene) Giacomini. A lifelong Bristol resident, he graduated from Bristol High School and was employed by Northeast Utilities until retiring in 2003. He served in the Army National Guard, helped coach softball at Bristol Central High School, and was a member of St. Matthew Church, Forestville.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Giacomini and her fiancé, Julian Fileccia, of Bristol; a sister, Gloria Hulten, of Bristol; a sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Fiorot, of Plainville; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including a special friend, Gail Wojtusik. He was predeceased by a brother, Anthony Fiorot; and two sisters, Lillian Fiorot and Giselda Fabiani.
The funeral was held Dec. 15, 2009, at Funk Funeral Home, Bristol, to St. Matthew Church, Forestville, followed by a Mass. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Memorial donations may be made to the Andrew and Murielle Giacomini Scholarship, c/o the Main Street Community Foundation, P.O. Box 2702, Bristol, CT 06011-2702.
