Marjorie L. (Harrison) LaRochelle, 98, of Meriden, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, July 12, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Maurice LaRochelle for over 60 years. Marjorie was born on October 24, 1926, in West Haven, CT, to the late William and Nina (Brockett) Harrison. She worked at New Departure and eventually retired from Lyman Gun Sight Co. after many years of service. Marjorie loved horses, especially riding with her sister in their younger years and enjoyed the occasional trip to the horse track. She also liked shopping with her daughter. In addition to her husband, Maurice, Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Linda Purcell, and her husband, William of Meriden, one granddaughter, Amanda Gluse of New Britain, and three great-grandchildren, Hannah and Liam Millican and Audrey Gluse. She is also survived by two nieces, Bonnie Harrison (Gary Clavette) and Coby Goyen, and one grandnephew, Cassidy Delaney, all of Plantsville. Marjorie was predeceased by her sister, Rita Goyen. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marjorie's memory may be made to the Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Ave., Meriden ( https://www.meridenhumanesocietyrescue.com/ ). A funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in Wonx Spring Cemetery, Plantsville.
