The strangest thing happened to me today and left me both speechless! This morning while making breakfast, a passing thought came to mind about a person that I had only been an acquaintance with a long, long time ago. At the time, (about 40 years ago), I was a child and he was an older teenager and could have been in college. His name was Jeff Heath. The primary memory that came to mind was how he had sold my mom an expensive pair of scissors. This pair of scissors had good reason to be expensive because I vividly remember the demonstration that Jeff gave to my mom when he was giving his sales pitch. He used them to actually cut a penny in half....a memory that I would never forget!

Well, I went to visit my mom and dad after work today and my mom just happened to ask me if I knew a person named Jeff Heath. I immediately replied with "didn't you buy a pair of scissors from him a long time ago?" My mom smiled and said yes. She went on to say that he had just passed away at a young age and showed me his photo and obituary in the local paper. I was amazed and saddened by this news. Sharing thoughts of sympathy.
