David Morris Obituary
On January 30, 2018 David Morris left this earth to be reunited with his loving wife Connie who passed away suddenly two days earlier on January 28, 2018.
David was born on July 11, 1954 and grew up in Porterville. He enjoyed spending time on the Morris Ranch in California Hot Springs where he liked to fish, hunt and ride horses.
Later on, he became active in the world of motorcycle racing where he met great friends along the way. David had many hobbies over the years such as roping, golfing, riding his Harley and connecting with old friends.
After graduating from Porterville High School, David went to work at Sierra View Hospital as an X-Ray Technician. Shortly after, he started a career working for Walco International until retiring in 2017.
He worked hard all his life providing a great life for his wife and children.
David fought a fast and difficult battle with cancer with such courage and dignity. He remained positive until his passing. He was surrounded by his family and right before he took his last breath, David looked up and smiled.
David is survived by his daughter Crystal Silva (Jarrod), son Tyler Morris (Krystal), his grandchildren who he was so proud of, Cody, Devin and Caleb Silva, Tyler Jr., Aidan, Eli and Kiley Morris; his mother Colleen Sanchez, sister Dareen Phillips, father-in-law Earl Kennedy, sister-in-law Judy Wright (Tom) and Kim Gisler (Dave), two nephews, 5 nieces, and many relatives and friends.
David will be joining his lovely wife Connie, father Arlin Morris, sister Brenda Morris and mother-in-law Helen Kennedy who passed 15 minutes before him.
David loved music so we know he is singing his favorite songs and dancing to Bob Segar's Old Time Rock and Roll.
David and Connie would be overwhelmed and so happy by the outpouring love and support that is being given to their family dealing with such a great loss.
Services to be held 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 7th, 2018 at Myers Chapel.

May you rest in peace my friend. Our families have been connected through many generations and we all had a great childhood growing up in the CA Hot Springs area as neighboring ranching families. You lived a good life my friend. May you connect and be happy with your loved ones that have gone before you.
