Pedro R Galvan, age 85, of Porterville, California passed away on November 29, 2022.
Pedro was born on November 6, 1937, in Tamaulipas Mexico to the late Pedro and Emilia Galvan.
Pedro later moved to the Valley and worked alongside his Father and Brother at Giumarra Vineyards. He was a hard-working and loyal employee for 41 years, until his retirement in 2008.
Pedro was the most patient, strong, yet funny man and is known for his quick jokes and giving others a good laugh. He enjoyed simple pleasures like a warm cup of coffee, anything sweet or a cold bud light with a touch of salt. He enjoyed fishing, tending to his peach trees, family get togethers, family poker nights, going to the casino, watching Johnny Carson or a good western tv show, rooting for his Oakland A's and Raiders. He was the proudest Grandpa and could always be found at his grandchildren's events.
Pedro was preceded in death by his Parents, two Brothers and one Sister. He was a loyal husband who always put his family first. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Guadalupe, son Pete Galvan (Cynthia), daughters Lupe Herrera (Rafael), Anita Fuentes (John), Elena Campbell (Leroy)., 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren with one on the way., as well as 3 brothers, 4 sisters and many neices and nephews.
