Maxine Benjamin Obituary


Feb. 27, 1939 - Feb. 25, 2017
She was born on February 27, 1939, passed away February 25, 2017, at her home. Maxine was a lifelong resident of Stockton. A graduate of Edison HS, and Stockton College. She enjoyed many sports, both as fan and a competitor. One of her fondest memories wasn't just scoring 50 points, as a member of Edison's Women's Basketball Team, but in that game, she went 18 for 18 from the foul line. She was the morning Manager, and a very loyal employee, of Ernie's General Store, for the last 29 years. Preceded in death by her mother, Marie, and beloved daughter in law, Michelle. She is survived by her sons, Mark and Steven, and siblings, Laurence Angelo and Barbara (Frank) Aceves. Memorial contributions may be made to COPD Foundation, 3300 Ponce de Leon Boulevard, Coral Gables; FL 33134. www.copdfoundation.org Services will be held this Saturday, March 11th, at 12 pm Casa Bonita Funeral Home, 2500 Cemetery Ln, Stockton, CA. A Reception to follow.

I am so sad Maxine has passed. She was a great person and always tried to be of help to everyone. It was always good when Maxine was around. RIP Maxine.
